TIN LATT

U Tin Latt is the President and Executive Director of Chindwin College. Besides being the Vice-President of the highly successful Soe San Boarding School at Pyin Oo Lwin concurrently, he also manages a diversified service organization in Mandalay before founding Chindwin College. A graduate in Electronics Engineering from the Rangoon Institute of Technology and an entrepreneur, U Tin Latt is currently pursuing his MBA at the National University of Singapore.

KYAW NI KHIN

U Kyaw Ni Khin is a Director of Chindwin College and Executive Director at the SCCD Hotel School. A graduate in Electronics Engineering from the Rangoon Institute of Technology and a professional engineer by training, he has considerable previous experience of working in both Myanmar and overseas as an engineer, in management and as an entrepreneur. With the right mix of local business environment knowledge, practices and challenges coupled with a wide-angled outlook of international trends and developments, U Kyaw Ni Khin runs a business management & hotel consulting practice in Myanmar. He is also a founding member of Myanmar Egress - a non-profit organization dedicated to leadership development and capacity building in Myanmar.

ELVIS CHONG

Elvis is the Academic Director at Chindwin College and SCCD Hotel School. He holds an MBA in Hospitality and Tourism management and an MA in Educational Management from the Nanyang Technological University. He also shares a practice with U Kyaw Ni Khin in business management & hotel consulting. Elvis’ work experience spans operations and human resource development in hotels and resorts, educational management of a corporate training center and corporate planning & development.

TIN MAUNG CHO

U Tin Maung Cho teaches IFC and is an assistant tutor for the HND programme. He also heads the College’s Engineering Lab, tasked with providing the students with practical lessons and project-related work for the HND programme. Prior to joining Chindwin, he was a hardware engineer at a computer training centre and a service manager with a firm dealing with computer peripherals and related technical services. U Tin Maung Cho earned his Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from the Mandalay University and runs his own business today.

BRECK MERKLE

Mr Breck Merkle’s work experience spans training and social work including a stint in Upper Myanmar in 2004 with an NGO. His expertise lies in English Communication, Humanities and Public Speaking. He speaks Myanmar and was a volunteer teacher at SCCD Hotel School in Yangon where he taught workplace English and Employability skills prior to joining Chindwin College. Breck earned his Bachelor of Arts degree major in Intercultural Studies from the Southwest Baptist University, USA. and is currently earning his units for his Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, specializing in Myanmar culture, from University of Denver.

CANDICE MERKLE

Ms Candice Merkle is Chindwin College’s faculty for English and Employability skills. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education, from University of Wyoming, USA. She has since taught at Special Education classes in elementary and high schools at Wyoming. From 2005, Candice trained students at SCCD Hotel School in Yangon on employability skills in preparation for the job market.

KHIN MOE MOE LWIN

With more than 20 years experience teaching English Language courses at major educational institutions in Myanmar including as Head of Department (English) at the prestigious Defence Services Institute of Technology, Daw Khin Moe Moe Lwin has been conducting preparatory classes for Myanmar students at the pre-university and undergraduate levels. Since 2001, she is the academic co-ordinator and language instructor at Cyber English Centre, Mandalay University. A postgraduate degree holder in English, Daw Khin Moe Moe Lwin is responsible for the English Language Proficiency programme for both the IFC and HND programmes at Chindwin College.

YEE HTUN

U Yee Htun is the Food & Beverage Service course manager, and has more than 10 years experience in food & beverage service operations and as well as food & beverage service training and education. He has consulted for food service and production organizations such as Shwe Pazun Confectionery and hotels in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon. U Yee Htun is also a Food & Beverage Service Instructor for SCCD partner school - Swiss-run NGO, Center for Vocational Training (CVT). He earned a Bachelor degree in History and holds a Diploma in Food & Beverage Service (City & Guilds, UK).

MR. ALAN KRISHNA

Alan is the course manager for the Reception Operations programme and has a mix of front office operations and training experience. He has worked for the Strand in Yangon and was a training consultant for a resort in the Southern Shan State. Alan graduated from the Singapore International Hotel & Tourism College (SHATEC) with a Diploma in Hotel Management and holds a Diploma in Reception Operations & Service (City & Guilds, UK).

KHIN CHO OO

Daw Khin Cho Oo brings with her more than 10 years experience in housekeeping operations at international hotels in Myanmar. Besides her duties as a course manager in SCCD Hotel School for the Accommodation Operations programme, she has also conducted pre-opening training for hotel projects in Bagan, Chaung Thar Beach, Inle Lake, Mandalay, Monywa, Nay Pyi Taw, Taunggyi and Yangon. Daw Khin Cho Oo holds a Diploma in Accommodation Operations & Service from City & Guilds, UK.
